Job Title: Licensed Therapist.
Department: Admissions, Outpatient, Adolescent & Teen, Perinatal, MAT Services, Residential.
Location: 2403 Professional Drive, Santa Rosa, CA & 790 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA.
Status: Full time, Part time, On Call, Hybrid-Remote.
Reports to: Clinical Director.
Classification: Non-exempt.
Compensation: $65.00 to $85.00 per hour DOE.
Additional $2.00 per hour differential for Bilingual English/Spanish speaking counselors with completion of bilingual skills assessment.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Licensed Clinician provides trauma-informed services for program participants. The Clinician conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and provides individual and group counseling services remotely. The Clinician must be responsive and available to communicate with the Clinical Director and Vice-President as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Direct Treatment:
  • Model Center Point DAAC Concepts and appropriate pro-social conduct, always treating clients and applicants with professionalism and courtesy. Acts in accordance with the company Personnel Policies.
  • Manages an assigned caseload, following the treatment and progress of each client, following all requirements of DHCS Licensing, Title 22 regulations, and any contractual requirements.
  • Conduct assessments utilizing data to support diagnosis. Complete required documentation and reports.
  • Reviews assessments and reassessments to determine medical necessity for Medi-Cal approved treatment services and level of care based on ASAM guidelines.
  • Conducts treatment evaluations and develops treatment plans with the client, updating them as needed and required by regulatory standards.
  • Provides individual and group therapy to clients with Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health diagnoses.
  • Achieves required number of units of service through individual, family, and group sessions.
  • Collects UA samples and/or patch collection from clients of their own gender as needed.
  • Recognize the elements of a crisis state and knows how to de-escalate or resolve the situation.
  • Effectively collaborates with the treatment team and outside sources in the delivery of clinical services.
  • Discharges clients as appropriate in a timely manner, notifying internal and external parties as appropriate.
  • Meets report and treatment plan deadlines and completes other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Positively represents the program/organization in the community. Attends community partnership and outreach meetings as assigned.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings, case conference, and other assigned training.
  • Performs special assignments as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Documentation, Reporting, and Compliance:
  • Generates and provides regular verbal and written reports on client progress as required by collaborating agencies.
  • Maintains a complete hard copy of client files and keeps computer files current.
  • Participates in scheduled Utilization Review Committee meetings to ensure regular review of all client files. Maintains a record of all outreach activity. Evaluates monthly data collected at testing sites including pre/post education sessions to determine effectiveness of the material presented.

Accountability:
Center Point DAAC conducts job performance reviews to ascertain compliance with established policies and procedures. The following standards must be minimally maintained by the employee. Additional goals will be set accordingly by the supervisor.

Minimum Standards:
  • Applicant must be an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist.
  • Full and unrestricted license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or the California Board of Psychology (BOP). Maintains current license/certification and supporting CEUs as required.
  • Have a minimum of (1) year of experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy services.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience providing trauma-informed services.
  • Functions as a role model for Center Point DAAC concepts and philosophy, maintaining standards of quality.
  • Consistently demonstrates initiative, conscientiousness, reliability, and adherence to ethical codes.
  • Maintains the safety and security of staff, clients, and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the process of addiction and Treatment principles. Must have knowledge of treatment planning, group, and individual counseling techniques.
  • Maintains client charts to Center Point DAAC and regulatory standards, being timely and accurate in completion of all charting and log requirements.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge to effectively manage client files to regulation.
  • Ability to utilize computer applications to provide effective communication, create documents, and reports.
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
  • Manages time effectively, following through on assigned tasks and meeting timelines.
  • Must meet live-scan security requirements.
  • All licensed clinicians fall within the definition of "mandated reporter" and are required to report suspected child abuse or neglect.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a CPR/First Aid certification and possession of current CA Driver's License with a good driving record.

SKILLS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Able to Read, Write, and Speak English fluently (Spanish is a plus).
  • MA Degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Windows, and other software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with e-health systems and healthcare IT regulations (HIPAA).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Felony convictions within the past five years, misdemeanor convictions within the past two years, and any current charges should be discussed with the hiring manager and organizational leadership.
  • Maintains license and supporting CEUs as required.
  • Maintains current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and client privacy.
